We currently have an exciting position available for a Planner responsible for utilizing discretion and independent judgment to drive project productivity through the planning of resources and services in a timely manner to support the Company's short-term and strategic goals.

 

Ideal candidate will posses advanced computer skills including advanced Excel. Ideal candidate will also posses knowledge of database design and structures, in addition to computer systems.



Responsibilities:
  • Develop and plan master production schedules taking into consideration available capacity, inventory levels, customer requirements, and most effective installation order sequence.
  • Perform "Calendar Casting" by knowing the installation, inventory, and any resources available; allocate work orders into the future accordingly.
  • Review actual versus forecast production numbers for each route assigned on a quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily basis and provide written analysis of actual versus forecast, along with recommendations for potential changes to future planning strategies.
  • Compile and prepare documentation related to production sequences, transportation, personnel schedules, and work orders.
  • Review information such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel requirements and resource priorities.
  • Examine documents, resources, and monitor work processes in order to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and expectations.
  • Generate district route reports and provide documentation and information to account for delays, difficulties, and changes; revise production schedules as required.
  • Manage total daily quota of installations and service calls in various areas of geographic territory.
  • Coordinate and participate in regular meetings to insure the execution of actual production against plan.
  • Incorporate root cause analysis to help develop and implement workable solutions to identified challenges.
  • Analyze, plan, and prioritize all installation routes available through MB Link (vendor software).
  • Communicate effectively planned routes to field personnel using the tools provided and verbal communication.
  • Dispatch production schedules and work orders to field and Warehouse.
  • Communicate on a routine basis with Call Center personnel to coordinate appointments with planning duties.
  • Ensure all data is appropriately entered into data systems in a timely and accurate manner.

Qualifications:
  • High school or GED and two years experience.
  • Prior route planning/logistics/supply chain experience preferred.
  • Strong project interpersonal/influential skills are critical to success.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with an attention to detail.
  • Basic PC skills, excellent Excel skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Be able to plan and organize in a fast-paced, union environment.
  • Creative and linear thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to convey information effectively.
  • Ability to accurately read, analyze, and interpret maps.
  • Requires high level computer expertise, including use of database, word processing, spreadsheet, mapping and zip code programs
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Knowledge of database structures and computer systems.
  • A "can do" attitude that focuses on solving problems, accountability, and teamwork

  • Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting up to 8 hours per day with occasional standing and walking.
